La Chance: Statement Pieces For Curated Interiors
La Chance was founded by Louise Breguet and Jean-Baptiste Souletie to express their vision of French design. Before starting up the company Louise was an architect and Jean-Baptiste worked in finance. Together they have lived all over the world, including India, China, London and Haiti. Today they work with a team of architects and designers in their office in the Marais district of Paris.
La Chance specialises in producing furniture, lighting, decorative objects, textile & rugs with a strong and distinctive style . The designs are a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative French furniture tradition from the Art Deco period. Instead of cold and conceptual design La Chance uses rich and noble materials that create a warm and uninhibited luxury. These items are investment pieces that future generations can continue to enjoy.
La Chance's creative approach is guided by the love of beautiful materials, such as marble, solid wood, metal, cork, leather, blown glass and pure lambswool from New Zealand. Highly skilled artisans work with these materials combining traditional techniques and innovative processes to manufacture La Chance products and each piece that passes though production is given particular attention. The company also offer bespoke services to meet the requirements of each client, both for residential, hotel and commercial projects.
A big part of La Chance's brand ethos is their green and sustainable approach. The company are producing sustainable furniture that will stand the test of time. For example, the wood used is from sustainable exploitation FSC approved forests in Europe and they have reduced the use of petrol based components to a minimum.
La Chance designs are sophisticated due to the harmonious confrontation of shapes and materials and the juxtaposition of these materials and colours. Structures are used as ornamental elements, using the traditional and noble materials and construction to display what is usually hidden. As a result these pieces are just as interesting from the back as from the front and can show off two sides to a clientās personality, both outgoing and quiet.

Austrian designer Sebastian Herkner's 'Salute' is a solid lesson in luxury and functionality. Belonging to a family of tables that may be used individually or displayed as a group, the table is crafted from a cylindrical black marble plinth, interrupted by a circular shiny chrome tray, which appears suspended from the table's main body.
'Toy' vase
A vase that fuses both traditional and modern techniques, 'Toy' works equally as a sculpture and a container for flowers. Designed by Guillaume Delvigne, the pink and green vase combines blown glass, industrial flat glass, and hand painting for a unique amalgamation of distortions, patterns, and reflections.
