Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrara, Italy and is an Architect and Product Designer with a hugely diverse portfolio. De Lucchi was a prominent figure in Italys’ postmodernist movements such as Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis. During this time he lead design of iconic lighting and furniture for some of the most prestigious companies and collectives both in Italy, and internationally.

During his career he has curated many exhibitions and has designed buildings for museums such as the Triennale di Milano, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, the Neues Museum in Berlin, the Fondazione Cini in Venice and the Gallerie d’Italia–Piazza Scala in Milan. In 2003 the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris acquired a number of De Lucchi’s pieces further establishing where he stands at the forefront of architecture and design.
