Montserrat Alvarez

Hailing from A Coruña, designer Montserrat Alvarez's work has always been guided by her hand-in-hand working process with creators and artisans. A graduate of both History of Art and Fashion at Rome's Sapienza University, and History of Architecture at the Sorbonne, Alvarez is also the manager of the Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec design studio and, most recently, the founder of Heimat Atlantica. Here, the designer's reverence for traditional craftsmanship and local artisans from Spain and Portugal's Atlantic coasts is combined with industrial production processes.
