As the experimental arm of Italian brand Serafino Zani, Numa is known for its limited editions, small runs and explorative approach to working with traditional materials. Since its establishment in 1999, three of the brand's seven limited edition collections have been created by the esteemed late Italian designer Ettore Sottsass. Each box in his 'Scatole Segrete' series was designed to house, in Sotssass' own words, "things to be kept a bit secret", including small trinkets, letters and objects. Crafted from birch plywood with a maple veneer, the 'Scatola Segreta Rosalia' box features a solid maple lid and a knob carved from solid black ebony. Signed and numbered, the box is produced in a limited edition of 99.
