In 2014, Dutch duo Studio Job created seven different wallpapers for NLXL by adapting various themes and illustrations from its archives. Initially created in 2005, this ‘Perished’ design is based on the reinterpretation of 17th century marquetry techniques. It features skeletons of animals such as flamingos, turtles and rhinoceros, a theme inspired by a visit to New York’s Natural History Museum.
