SaloneSatellite, founded and curated by Marva Griffin Wilshire, was the first event to focus on young designers, instantly becoming the unrivalled place for interface with manufacturers, talent scouts and the most promising young designers, and since 1998 runs again concurrently with the Salone del Mobile.Milano. Creative young people with a real thirst for making their mark and communicating through their own very personal design make up the generation of talents spawned by SaloneSatellite over the last twenty-one years – a real breath of fresh air that has successfully revitalised the looks and remits of furnishing products.

Berlin-based yet hailing from northwest Germany, Anna Badur's designs are no doubt inspired by her Nordic coastal heritage. The ebbs and flows of the sea as well as the movement of water are key markers of the designer's minimal aesthetic, which is applied to ceramics, textiles, furniture and accessories. As well as effortlessly blurring the lines between fine and applied arts, Bedur's work offers a wholly unique encounter that is indicative of both the designer's experimental nature and the handcrafted approach applied to most of her pieces.
