'Glaze' three-tier cake stand

Simon Legald's 'Glaze' series for Normann Copenhagen was designed as a contemporary antithesis to the quaint and decorative aesthetics usually associated with cake stands. As such, the 'Glaze' three-tier cake stand is cut from stainless steel and zinc alloy sprayed with a ceramic coating, and features a geometric base made from powder-coated steel with soft, rounded edges. Simple, modern and sophisticated, the item lets baked goods and sweets take centre stage against an elegant backdrop, and the dark red stand can also be used to serve savoury food, such as pies, cheese, fruit, canapés or sushi.
