Luxurious and Functional Home Décor
L’Objet specialises in fine tableware, home accessories and home décor, often incorporating semi-precious stones and metals that are combined with artisan techniques. The outcome is items that are modern while at the same time influenced by ancient crafts.
L’Objet was founded by Elad Yifrach, an interior designer and lifelong traveller with a passion for the Mediterranean, its culture and traditional craft methods. Yifrach’s designs pay homage to the works produced by great Mediterranean artisans and at the same time he blends these traditional methods with innovative techniques and new materials. Most prominent is his use of porcelain.
Yifrach approached some of the world’s most famous workshops to work together on a new vision. While it took many months of trial and error, the final designs were undoubtedly bold and unique, rich in timeless detail and tradition. His first pieces earned him respect among craftsmen and a loyal global following thanks to the high quality of the designs. In 2004, he presented his first prototype to Bergdorf Goodman, who immediately placed an order and so began L’Objet.
L’Objet uses one of a kind craftsmanship to make luxurious and functional works of art. Every piece has been made by the hands of a master and formed to the highest standards of material selection and creativity. For many collections, hand-applied techniques and complex layering with different golds are used to achieve unprecedented brilliance and colour. For metal pieces L’Objet’s craftsmen draw from fine jewellery making techniques, using sterling silver for exceptional durability. As a result of exceptional craftsmanship L’Objet has become one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies in the luxury goods sector.
'Turtle' Magnifying Glass
Part of the 'Tulum' collection, this magnifying glass was inspired by Mayan history and architecture. Made from Limoges porcelain it demonstrates design based upon international influences with a contemporary aesthetic. A brass frame forms the outline of a turtle and the body is depicted with an enlarged magnifying glass. A practical and decorative addition to any setting.
'Lapis' Round Platter
The ‘Lapis’ collection was created as part of the brand’s 10th anniversary. It celebrates the mesmerising skies of the Mediterranean. This platter is made from Limoges porcelain and earthenware with hand-gilded 24k gold accents. Suited to serving food as well as presenting objects.
The eye talisman is a traditional symbol of good luck and protection, a constant reminder to be aware, to seek beauty in the everyday and to dispel any negative energy. The eye is also a point of connection between two souls, thus the L’Objet and Lito collection is a celebration of two creators. The 'Lito' Bookend invites this respected symbol in the home or office in a surreal, yet elegant way. Made from black painted Limoges porcelain, this triangular bookend features a large eye on its side and features 24-karat gold plated detailing.
'Fortuny Peruviano' Vase
Part of the 'L'Objet pour Fortuny' collection, the Fortuny Peruviano vase was inspired by the artisans of Venice. The spirit of the collection centres on the patterns of the legendary fashion and textile design Mariano Fortuny. The large ‘Peruviano’ vase is characterised by hand-gilded 24 karat gold accents and intricate green detailing, which adorn the entirety of its cylindrical body. A home accessory that is a colourful celebration of pattern, shape and colour and one that transcends time.
