Milan-born Aldo Rossi (1931-1997) is a landmark figure in modern Italian architecture. His design language of primary shapes, geometrical patterns and abstraction defined his country’s architecture during the second half of the 20th century. A distinguished architect and theorist, Rossi was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1990.
