'Funquetry' pencil cup holder

Taken from Nada Deb's 'Funquetry' collection, which brings together a series of homewares in an updated take on the traditional technique of marquetry, this pencil holder cup combines multi-coloured strips of wood to stunning effect. Handmade in Beirut and cut from American walnut, the pencil holder's exterior features a number of inlaid strips, which are sliced and shifted to break any geometric pattern. The result is a wonderfully playful and contemporary duality.
