Created by designer Christian Lacroix and press agent Jean-Jacques Picart, the House of Christian Lacroix was founded in 1987 and quickly rose to fame thanks to the couturier's seamless ability to fuse hither to unusual materials and colours with opulent baroque touches. In 2009 Christian Lacroix left the house, succeeded by Sacha Walckhoff who was named Creative Director and now
oversees the brand's growing collections of womenswear and menswear, scarves, sunglasses, handbags, jewellery and watches, as well as fabrics, wallpapers, cushions, rugs, tableware, candles and stationery.
