Anointed Gucci's Creative Director in 2015, Alessandro Michele has brought his own idiosyncratic sense of style to the Italian fashion house, whilst paying equal reverence to the brand's legacy. Michele studied costume design at Romeās Academy of Costume and Fashion āĀ a tenure that is evident in the Roman designer's scholarly knowledge of fashion history and has fed his self described 'hippie Renaissance' aesthetic for Gucci, which is defined by fantasy-inducing clashes
of colour and texture, and points of inspiration that seamlessly segue from the Middle Ages to the animal kingdom.
