'Cedrus Liban' sculpture, black

Part of an inspiring collection for Produzione Privata, esteemed designer and architect Michele De Lucchi captures the shape and spirit of the Lebanese Cedar in black burnished iron. With an ambition to reproduce all of the world's trees at a scale of 1:100, the 'Cedrus Liban' sculpture pays homage to the natural world, and can be placed inside or out, where it creates atmospheric shadows and a sense of depth and drama. The all-black composition recalls the tree at night, and enhances the silhouette of its 'chandelier' canopy and dense foliage. Trees can be placed together to form a wood, which can be populated through time with newly crafted species.
