'Mila' bowl, yellow

A bowl, but not in the traditional sense. Designed for German brand Pulpo, Sebastian Herkner's 'Mila' bowl functions just as it should, despite a couple of unusual adjustments. Atop a rectangular cuboid base sits a solid, filled hemisphere with slightly concave surface. The subtle dip works in practical terms, allowing the bowl to hold a variety of foodstuffs while also offering a sculptural element to this yellow glazed ceramic piece.
