'Opale' tumbler, set of two

Taken from Stories of Italy's 'Opale' collection, this set of two tumblers incorporates a technique that dates back to the 16th century. In melting white opaline glass flakes onto a transparent crystal base, a snowy surface is created where varying degrees of transparency are revealed when crossed by light. Mouth-blown and hand finished, each tumbler is unique and in possession of its own characteristics.
