'Rimini Blu' jug, medium

Designed in the early fifties by Aldo Londi, the 'Rimini Blu' collection has attained iconic status over the years. Defined by a succession of hand engraved geometric decorations on raw clay and a glossy blue crystalline glaze, the collection has been produced for over sixty years by Bitossi, and is supported by the advanced research of the chemical laboratory Colorificio Colorobbia, a body that is wholly aligned with an Londi's assiduous study and ongoing experimentation with materials, colours and techniques. This tall and cylindrical jug is both decorative and functional, and manages to magically reproduce the plays of light reflected in the sea on its azure exterior.
