'Case Study Houses. The Complete CSH Program 1945-1966'

Led by John Entenza, a champion of modernism, the Case Study House program was a landmark project in American architecture that brought together some of the discipline's most celebrated talents including Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames and Eero Saarinen. The journey of the program is captured in Taschen's 'Case Study Houses. The Complete CSH Program 1945-1966', a 512-page retrospective that looks at all 36 prototype homes through documentation, photography, floor plans, and sketches, authored by Elizabeth A. T. Smith and edited by Peter Gössel. Accompanied by images by American photographer Julius Shulman, the book offers a perception and understanding of the buildings and their place in the Los Angeles landscape, and beautifully captures the project's enduring influence on both American and international architecture in the years since.
