Known for their creation of temporary large scale art in public spaces, French artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude began their collaboration in 1961, with their partnership producing a number of renowned international projects in locations that include New York, Berlin, London, Colorado and Biscayne Bay. Captured by Wolfgang Volz, who worked with Christo and Jeanne-Claude as an exclusive photographer of their works from 1971, the duo's oeuvre is presented in Taschen's 'Christo and Jeanne-Claude. XXL', a 616-page hardcover book that is an updated version of the publisher's beset selling Collector's Edition. A celebration of the two late artists, whose imagination affected the landscape of every continent, the multilingual book traces both existing and upcoming works alongside early drawings and family photos.
