'Dior by Ferré'

To mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the house of Dior, Assouline presents a series of seven volumes that are each devoted to an iconic designer at the couture house. Supplemented with beautiful photography — including imagery of uncovered treasures photographed exclusively for this series — alongside commentary and anecdotes from esteemed fashion journalists, this book focuses on the work of Italian couturier Gianfranco Ferré at the house between 1989-1996. Across the pages of this book, over 300 sublime images by Laziz Hamani explore how the designer combined Christian Dior's original vision of femininity with his own signature application of bold glamour, sumptuous materials and voluptuous proportions.
