'Roy Lichtenstein: The Impossible Collection'

The creator of some of the world's most recognisable pieces of pop art, Roy Lichtenstein is still one of the most coveted names in contemporary art, a full half century after his work gained prominence in the 1960s. From his famously witty comic strip-inspired paintings to the ordinary objects — such as hot dogs and trash cans — transformed into art to defy traditional observations of 'good taste', it's all captured in Assouline's 200-page tome dedicated to the artist.
