A leading contemporary furniture designer in the 1950s and 1960s, Paul McCobb (1917-1969) was behind the design of a number of multi-functional furniture, accessories, textiles and interior design projects up until his untimely death in 1969. Since then, the American's designs have not been in production, but they are slowly coming back into view thanks to reissues — the result of Form Portfolios taking ownership of the design rights for McCobb's estate. 'Shapes of Paul McCobb' explores the designer's oeuvre and charts the revival of interest in this unsung design hero.
