'Komet Open' sculpture, white opaque

Designer Alexa Lixfeld's glass sculptures, centerpieces and vases offer a seamless harmonization of traditional glass making techniques and a contemporary design vision. The result is a diverse family of unique items that includes 'Komet Open', an asymmetric opaque white glass sculpture with an open mouth that is marked by various undulations, tone shifts and a series of other distinct characteristics and detailing. This is thanks to a wholly manual production process that sees each sculptural piece formed from glass that is mouth-blown and sculpted and shaped freely by hand.
