Salvatori's Cipollino 'Omaggio a Morandi' bottle is aptly hand-finished in a workshop that sits just a stone's throw away from the quarry from which it was mined. This is just one part of the item's storied journey, from its conception in collaboration with designer Elisa Ossino to its construction in Tuscany. As well as paying homage to the Italian artist Morandi, Ossino was in part inspired by the history of Cipollino, which was used by the ancient Romans in a number of the city’s most important structures, from the Vatican to the imposing columns of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina.
