'Cassius'

Presenting a series of smooth marble vases, the 'Avalon' collection by Bloc Studios is a study in function and form. Led by the question 'how soft is marble' and inspired by its use in Baroque churches, the vases incorporate complex shapes — influenced in part by the drapery seen on classic sculpture — while offering a distinctly contemporary aesthetic. The 'Cassius' vase, designed by Valentina Cameranesi, is carved from white carrara and offers a composition of both rounded and geometric shapes that emanate a unique warmth despite their crisp silhouettes.
