Designed by Anja Kjær, Holmegaard's 'Karen Blixen' vase draws inspiration from the golden necklaces worn by Kenyan women, as described in Danish author Karen Blixen's 'Out of Africa'. The reference is most clearly seen in the narrowing of the vase neck as it moves downwards, interrupted at regular intervals by a soft, raised ring around the vessel's circumference. Formed from mouth-blown white glass, the vase allows blooms to sit naturally and equally suits full bouquets and single stems.
