Flowing contours and a sculptural form define Ekaterina Bazhenova Yamasaki's 'Yesterday Is History', produced in collaboration with British brand Completedworks. Crafted from pure ceramic coated in an even tan hue, the organic vessel is taken from 'Fold', a family of items that trace elements of choreography while simultaneously alluding to chance and serendipity. The result is an organic layering of creases and bends, which are combined for a dramatic silhouette that conveys movement and fluidity, and equally nods to the application of drapery in the history of painting.
