'Marine Garden' bottle, green

This delightful reimagining of a bottle by Alessandra Baldereschi for Ichendorf Milano is realized by hand in a transparent green flame-worked borosilicate glass. Contrasting lemon glass further enriches this animated design through playing with color and opacity. The 'Marine Garden' series is populated with sea life, creating kaleidoscopic landscapes in glass by bringing the imagined unseen world beneath the surface into our everyday lives. Marine creatures appear in the bottoms of glasses, transform into handles and stems, or — in the case of the 'Marine Garden' bottle, which can be used to dispense anything from oil to drinking water — the creatures become the object itself.
