One of Denmark's most famous architects, Finn Juhl is renowned for his bold, sculptural forms and ultra-refined detailing. Educated at Copenhagen's Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the 1930s, Juhl emerged with a distinct style that combined elegant expression with functionality, a balance that energised traditional Danish design.
A pioneer of Scandinavian design, Juhl quickly became internationally recognised, leading to a commission to design the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the UN Headquarters in New York.
