Hailing from Beirut, Salim Al-Kadi is both a practicing architect and a senior lecturer at the American University of Beirut’s Department of Architecture and Graphic Design. A graduate of the American University of Beirut and Columbia University, Al-Kadi also founded Beirut Architecture
Office where his work is led by a belief that the architect's role is not to build confidence in the built environment but to disrupt the apparent stasis by introducing necessary hesitation.
